This article develops the reflection shared on LinkedIn: data does not transform an organisation by itself. People do when they can interpret, challenge and act on it. A technically flawless model may remain unused; a powerful tool can become friction when nobody recognises their work within it.
The solution is completed when people can make it their own.
The last mile is not a screen
Between validated data and a decision sits a human chain: someone asks, interprets, adds context, challenges and acts.
Four conditions for value
- Understanding: language and navigation fit the decision maker.
- Participation: the business shapes questions, rules and validation.
- Trust: origin, freshness and limits are visible.
- Autonomy: the solution avoids creating a new technical dependency.
Adoption is not compliance
Mandatory access may increase activity without creating ownership. Sustainable adoption appears when a solution reduces effort, fits a task and offers a better answer than the previous habit.
